I was looking to find something which can last. Then I found it in the form of fireplaces and stoves. But to get there, I started my early professional life as a forester. Strange, organic shapes attract me since then. In the meanwhile, I started to do pottery as a new way to create a meaningful, practical thing alongside planting trees for the next generation. Then it grew on me and I soon found myself building my first stove.

That was 30 years ago, and I still plant trees in my free time.
